Columbia Open Studios 2024: A Celebration of Local Artistry

We're excited to announce that the 701 Center for Contemporary Art (701 CCA) is once again hosting the annual Columbia Open Studios event on March 23 and 24, 2024. This unique, two-day event offers a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the vibrant art scene in Columbia, South Carolina.

What is Columbia Open Studios?

Columbia Open Studios is a self-guided tour that invites the public into the private studios of local artists. It's an opportunity for art enthusiasts and casual observers alike to meet artists, observe them at work, explore their creative spaces, and even purchase unique pieces of art directly from the creators.

This year, we are expecting a diverse range of artists to open their doors, from painters and sculptors to ceramicists, textile artists, and artist blacksmiths. The event serves as a platform for these talented individuals to showcase their passion, process, and products in a personal and intimate setting.

What to Expect in 2024

For the upcoming Columbia Open Studios in 2024, we are planning to make it bigger and better than ever. Not only will you be able to explore the studios of established artists, but we are also encouraging emerging artists to participate. This mix ensures a vast array of styles, mediums, and techniques for visitors to discover.
